Neve & Rohan updates

I love birthday cake!

Neve is now babbling up a storm. We believe that these are the words she says now: and of course she understands so much more!

  1. Aya-Edzea
  2. Ra Ra-Rohan
  3. Mama
  4. Dada
  5. Nana-for Nana and Banana
  6. Hat
  7. Up
  8. Manda-Amanda
  9. Bo-Book
  10. Mi-Milk plus she signs it
  11. Quack Quack
  12. Signs: finished, more, eat
  13. Talk
  14. Cacka-Cracker
  15. I for Hi
  16. Tries to say diaper
Waves Hi/Bye
Blows kisses
Brushes hair, my hair, her hair
Washes counters/trays etc

And she is standing on her own off and on so walking is not far off.

Rohan had his first solo swimming lesson this week. I didn’t realize that he was worried about it until we were driving in. He says: I am NOT going to jump in the deep end Mommy. and then later: I am NOT going to float on my back with a noodle. So, Edzea and I quelled his fears and in the end, luckily, he had Edzea’s old teacher, Kyle, and he had a great time! Although he shivered through the entire lesson! So he will be wearing two wetsuits next week!

Happy 1st Birthday Neve!

Neve had a GREAT party to do. All things green and lots of fun for everyone. She started saying DaDa for Tim last night so that’s her first 1 year word and she LOVES to say it! She also LOVED her cupcake.

I’ll post better pictures once friends send them along to me. Also there’s a little video of a snippet of her party at the end!

Belated Rohan’s Party

Rohan’s 3rd birthday in photos. It was fun and better because it was quieter than past parties so we enjoyed ourselves but still stressful to prep for.   I’m being very relaxed about Neve’s first birthday party this weekend!

Spring Break & other

Haven’t posted for a LONG time. Life is BUSY!!! Here is a little video of Rohan’s ski experiences to date. I can’t film him much as I have to do a lot of hands on with him-when we ask him to do pizza (snow plow) he politely says, “No thank you,” and then takes off yelling “woohoo!” until either I catch up to him or he crashes. So, his learning curve is a little steeper than Edzea’s. He’s in lessons all week and I hope he gets it by the end of the week. We’ll see. He’s enjoying himself anyways!

Edzea is being taught parallel turns on the blue runs now. She is having great success and wants to ski all day! So tomorrow, when Tim skiis with the kids after lessons, I’m going to go pick Rohan up and then Tim and Edzea can ski most of the day. The kids sure are pooped this week anyways which is good!
